The Extreme Versatility Of A Coffee Cart

A coffee cart is a very handy thing to have. These wheeled carts were designed to transport coffee service at a party or gathering. With space for a coffee pot, coffee cups and accessories, these carts bring the coffee to the guests rather than having the guests come to the coffee. Few kitchens were designed large enough to entertain in, so the kitchen must come to the party guests. There's no need to let your cart gather dust in the corner, however. These carts have many more uses than simply carting coffee.

Coffee carts can transport any beverage, hot or cold. Don't let the name limit you to just coffee. Use it as a tea cart for an informal tea party. Serve the kids hot chocolate from the cart when they come in from playing in the snow. Wheel the cart to the deck, patio or pool in the summer to serve soft drinks. You can even use it to serve beer and similar beverages during parties or while watching sporting events. Depending on how intense the sporting event was, you may be using the cart for coffee the following morning.

These carts don't have to serve coffee. They don't have to serve beverages at all. Transform your cart into a mobile snack tray at the next party. As the snacks disappear, replace them with fresh dishes from the cart's lower shelves. This is much easier than carrying serving trays around to all the guests. If the party is informal, attach a trash bag to the cart so that guests can continuously discard their paper plates and napkins. It is excellent for making a grand entrance with a special birthday cake, especially one with lots of candles.

Because it has wheels, the cart is a labor saving device and can carry far more than coffee. It makes a terrific mobile storage unit. The obvious use is to store your coffee pot, coffee grinder, coffee roaster, and your cream and sugar serving set. It can hold a small microwave oven, a selection of individually wrapped snacks for the kids' lunches, or an assortment of fruit. Be careful not to overload it. Carts for coffee aren't designed for heavy weights.

Cart styles vary from the retro, large wagon wheeled unit, to a modern steel and chrome contemporary look. Choose a cart style that blends in with the rest of the decor. Your cart is versatile and can be a tea cart, snack cart, serving cart, cocoa cart, and even a beer cart. There are many more fun ways to use a coffee cart than just for coffee.
